Leading men from depression to fulfillment

Depression is nothing but suppressed (Latin: "deprimiere") emotion. This suppression is keeping us captive in a tedious, unsatisfying life. It is time to break our chains.

To do this, I mainly use the brilliant Sedona Method.

typical signs of depression

Does this seem familiar?

Low energy

Even small things sometimes seem infinitely difficult to do. Caffeine in fairly high doses helps only to a limited extent. You force yourself to do what is necessary, especially when others expect it. Perhaps you are very tense and high-strung. Sometimes it works reasonably well, sometimes you drag yourself through the day. At nighttime, you often withdraw and distract yourself.

Not working towards goals

You find it difficult to work towards specific goals, if there are any at all. You sometimes tell yourself you will do things that you can't implement. To avoid this, you sometimes take on as little as possible. At least this way, you won't disappoint anyone. At work, your career is not making progress. You notice a rise in your mood on Friday and a drop on Sunday if you are an employee.

Relationships

You do not maintain close contact with many people. Your relationships are loving, but somehow unsatisfactory. You try to be of service to others, but avoid conflict. When anger breaks out, there is a loss of control. Afterwards, you feel guilty. You tend to withdraw from friends when you are not well, you do not want to be a burden to them.

The cause

The cause of all the things described above is the inhibition of certain emotions, such as fear and anger. The result is like when you put a kink in a water hose so that no more water flows. The state of apathy arises, with which we numb other emotions.

There are advantages to this: It hurts less in the short term, we can remain in situations at work or in a relationship that would otherwise be hard to bear. During childhood, apathy can be essential for survival. In this state, we also don't make ourselves guilty by hurting others, for example. In the long run however, there is nothing more painful than an "unlived life" (Victor v. Weizäcker).

The solution

Fortunately, there is another way: anyone can learn to let go of their repressed emotions. For example, my clients learn to let the raw energy of anger flow through your body and become courage. They also gain the ability to drain excessive anxiety from the body and feel lighter and more free as a result.

The skill of using and transmuting emotional energy changes everything. My clients gradually become good at realizing their goals and making relationships deep and fulfilling. They enjoy life, being active and relaxed at the same time.

The Sedona Method

Revealing is a method of gradually transforming emotions. Positive emotions like courage and acceptance are purposefully expanded (revealed), while negative ones like fear and apathy are released from the body.
The feeling that arises is one of growing lightness, energy and grounding. Tackling challenges is natural and flowing in this state.

my story

The path to freedom

No one could help me. No psychotherapist, doctor, healer, lama, shaman: I remained a hopelessly depressed case. Until I left everything behind, gave up, let go, and in the Revealing Method found the key where I least wanted to look: in my emotions. I learned what they really mean, how they determine behavior, thinking and our lives. And most importantly, I received the power to change them, with amazingly clear, simple daily steps.

The power over our emotions is the power over our lives. It's time to seize that strength.

Modern male psychology

Have we lost our power?

Why do men become depressed so often? In my opinion, many suffer from a lack of orientation. They are supposed to be sensitive partners, and at the same time strong, successful, fit and determined. In relationships, the ideal of equality, fairness and discussion often applies. Children need to be shown boundaries, but this should be done gently and sensitively. "Aggression" has a bad reputation, it is associated with violence and authoritarian oppression. Sexuality is also often associated with the fear of becoming a perpetrator.
Many men react with inner or outer withdrawal, taking refuge in distraction, apathy, excessive thinking.
As far as I am concerned, it is time to put an end to this.

THE LAWS OF GROWTH

My principles

Some of my clients have been to several psychotherapists with very limited success. In my opinion, this is due to the fact that many therapists disregard basic principles of growth.

All too often, therapies are diffuse and problem-focused, especially those based solely on talking. The classical approaches to depression, in my experience, work very unreliably. Depth psychology has no focus on a target state and looks to the past; behavioral therapy addresses cognition and activities that are very difficult to change in depression. Alternative therapies can be impressive in session, but often just don't give the client enough tools. Any positive transformation also has to involve an emotional shift.

By observing certain principles, however, sustainable change is virtually guaranteed.
